Jason Belk

Assistant Dean for Student Affairs

Belk
A native of Raleigh, Dean Belk received his undergraduate degree from Duke University where he majored in Public Policy Studies. He then went on to earn a Master's of Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government where he focused on education policy and earned a subsequent JD from Boalt Hall. At each institution Dean Belk was heavily involved in university life, including work in student advising, residential life and judicial affairs.

Jason began his legal career in San Francisco with Farella, Braun + Martel in the field of insurance and construction litigation. From there he joined the Washington, DC office of Paul Hastings where he continued to develop his career in business litigation. Most recently, Dean Belk practiced in the Raleigh office of Womble Carlyle before coming to Duke Law School.

Anne Sherman

Assistant Dean for Academic Advising

As the Assistant Dean for Academic Advising, Anne Sherman advises students about the degree requirements students must fulfill in order to graduate with a JD or a dual degree from the Law School. Anne also serves as a resource for students who seek to enhance their academic performance. Anne is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to joining the Office of Student Affairs, Anne practiced employee benefits law at McDermott, Will & Emery in Chicago and Poyner & Spruill in Raleigh and worked in the Career and Professional Development Center at Duke Law.

Stephanie De Falco

Student Affairs Coordinator

Have questions about student organization finances and reimbursements? Stephanie De Falco is available to assist with your student organization financial and event-planning needs. Stephanie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her MBA from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She has previously worked as an English teacher in Japan and in alumni and student affairs positions at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and the University of North Carolina School of Law.
