Duke Law Bowling League STAR of the WEEK
ROBERT MACKAY Bowltra Magnus
Robert was a member of Little Lebowskis, who made it to the Elite Eight of the Fall 2005 Tournament. He consistently anchors his team and bowled a 169 and a whopping 200 on February 1, 2006. Bowltra Magnus also gets points in our book for being a 1L team brave enough to show up the night before the memo was due. That’s the kind of commitment we like to see!!! Congratulations to our very first Star of the Week. Q & A with the Star: How
long have you been bowling? I started bowling regularly my freshman year of college when
I joined the club bowling team at the University of Oregon. But if you're
measuring from when I bowled my first game ever then I've been bowling for
more than 20 years. That's kind of depressing if you really think about it. What
is your favorite thing about the Duke Law Bowling League? That it exists. Who would have thought a law school would
have a bowling league? The school should put that in its brochure. On second
thought, that's probably a bad idea. What
advice do you have for people who hope to be a future bowling star of the
week? The key is to find the right ratio of beer to bowling and
maintain that the entire night. I find that a 1 beer/ game ratio works well
for me, but you should experiment to find what works for you personally. ***Duke Law Bowling League Stars of the Week are chosen
solely by the co-commissioners. We may
not be objective. We may choose our friends or people we like solely because
they are people we like. If you want
