Faculty & Scholarship

Environmental Law

From climate change to land-use planning, the field of environmental law encompasses a variety of topics. Duke Law is home to a number of faculty members who are experts in the field, helping to study and shape emerging legal issues -- framing what may become the national and international laws and policies of the future. Beyond the numerous classes offered that explore this area of the law, our current students have an opportunity to facilitate scholarship through an environmentally-focused student journal (the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum), gain hands-on, lawyering experience in the Environmental Law & Policy Clinic, and influence the day-to-day choices of the Duke Law community through the Environmental Law Society.
