Class of 2010 Profile

The Duke University School of Law Class of 2010 includes 207 students from 39 states, five countries, and 97 undergraduate institutions. Their backgrounds include science, education, entertainment, the arts, public policy, government, business, technology, sports, and non-profit sector work. Of this year’s 1L students, 46 percent are recent college graduates, 49 percent graduated 1 to 5 years ago, and 6 percent graduated 6 or more years ago. Twenty-two percent of the entering class intend to pursue a joint degree. The median undergraduate GPA for the Class of 2010 was 3.74 and the median LSAT score was 169 (GPA 75/25 percentiles: 3.82/3.61 and LSAT 75/25 percentiles: 170/167).

More impressive than their GPA and LSAT numbers is what Duke Law 1Ls did before they started school this year:
