Global Capital Markets Center Sponsors Money and Markets Conference at RTP Friday, January 25th

The Global Capital Markets Center (GCMC) is co-sponsoring a conference entitled Money & Markets this Friday, January 25th at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel (off Page Road, Research Triangle Park). The conference will address financial issues that influence the successful evolution of high growth companies, primarily in biotechnology and information technology, and also in the industrial and manufacturing industries. Erskine Bowles will serve as keynote speaker, and Duke Law Professor Stephen Wallenstein, Executive Director of the GCMC, will moderate a morning session entitled "Venture Capital Isn't the Only Capital". This session will cover alternate financing strategies for companies at all funding stages (start-up, mid-stage, later stage). Panelists include: Bernard Gray of Gray Ventures, Atlanta; Yves Reibelle, CEO of Scynexis, RTP; Daniel Duffy, Principal, Franklin Street Partners, Raleigh; and William Yang of Silicon Valley Bank's Atlanta office.
