Duke scholar to speak on Islamic Feminism Nov. 12

Cook, who works in the department of Asian and African Languages and Literature, is the author of "Women Claim Islam: Creating Islamic Feminism Through Literature" and numerous scholarly books and articles concerning the literature and culture of Middle Eastern women. She will speak in the Blue Lounge at 12:15 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy.
