Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Society symposium on Hot Topics in Patents and Trademarks

The September 25 symposium, sponsored by The Duke Law Intellectual Property & Cyberlaw Society (IPCS) will open with remarks from Professor David Lange. Other speakers at the event are Miles Alexander, a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta; Justin Hughes, a professor of law at UCLA and former Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Stephen Kunin, the Deputy Commissioner of Patent Examination at the U.S. PTO; and Marc Sedam, Associate Director, UNC Chapel Hill Office of Technology Development. The daylong program ends with Jasemine Chambers, Director of the Biotechnology Patent Examination Group at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, speaking about what's hot in biotechnology patents.
