Application

Applicants should complete the application form (see below). Students seeking to apply academic credit earned in the program to an American law school must submit a letter of good standing. It should be noted that overseas summer programs should not be used as a means of accelerating graduation.

The application must be accompanied by an initial tuition payment of U.S. $350 and a housing deposit of U.S. $350, drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable, by a single check, to the order of “Duke University - Duke-Geneva Institute.” These payments will be applied against tuition and student accommodations fees, respectively. There is also a non-refundable registration fee of U.S. $200. The balance of the tuition, student accommodations, registration, and non-resident fees will be payable as close to April 7 as possible and should be remitted by check in U.S. dollars.

Applications will be accepted on a continuing basis until the program is fully subscribed. Places in the Institute are limited, however, and it is advisable to try to apply before April 7. If for any reason an applicant is not accepted into the program, the tuition and housing fees will be refunded in full. Refunds of tuition and student accommodations fees will be given only to an applicant who withdraws for exceptional reasons. No refunds will be given after June 13.
