Application

Application -- Please print and submit by mail

Applicants should complete the application form. Students seeking academic credit from an American law school need to submit a letter of good standing. The application must be accompanied by an initial tuition payment of U.S. $350 and a housing deposit of U.S. $350, drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable, by a single check, to the order of “Duke University - Asia-America Institute.” These payments will be applied against tuition and student accommodations fees, respectively. There is also a non-refundable registration fee of U.S. $200. The balance of tuition, student accommodation, registration, and non-resident fees will be payable as close to April 7 as possible and should be remitted by check in U.S. dollars in the same way.

Applications will be accepted on a continuing basis until the Asia-America Institute is fully subscribed. It is advisable to apply early. If for any reason an applicant is not accepted as a participant, the tuition and student accommodations fees will be refunded in full. Refunds will be given only to applicants who withdraw for exceptional reasons. No refunds will be given after June 13.
