Letter to Board of Visitors

Dear Fellow Board of Visitors Member:

Welcome to Geneva 2003! At this website, you will find information about the first international meeting of the Duke Law Board of Visitors, to take place in Geneva, Switzerland on July 17-20.

The Geneva board meeting will coincide with the 7th annual Duke/Geneva Institute in Transnational Law, allowing the Board to pay an oversight visit to this innovative program for U.S. and international law students. The board meeting will also coincide with international alumni reunions for the Fuqua School of Business and Duke Law School, with overseas alumni from both schools gathering in Geneva for the weekend. As part of the international law alumni reunion, several academic panels on international legal issues will be presented. Board members are invited to attend the presentations, and CLE credit for these presentations will be available if allowed in your state. The highlight of the weekend will be a gala dinner and dance on Saturday evening at a chateau in the countryside outside of Geneva. All of these events are intended to underscore the Board’s commitment to the Law School’s international presence and programs.

With its central location in Europe, Geneva could be the start or conclusion of a memorable European vacation for you and your family next summer. I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us in Geneva for the Board of Visitors meeting, and I look forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Peter Kahn ‘76
