IP and Cyberlaw Society Hosts Conference
Duke Law Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Society, in conjunction with the Center for the Study of the Public Domain at Duke, hosts Mar. 21 Hot Topics in Copyright and Patent Law Symposium (CLE credit available). This full-day event will feature distinguished speakers from all three branches of government and the private sector discussing the latest developments in patent and copyright law.
The symposium is open to the public. Members of the North Carolina Bar will be eligible to receive 6 hours of CLE credit for a $100 fee for attending the symposium. At this year’s event, a morning session devoted to copyright law will offer a cutting-edge panel of experts who will present diverse viewpoints on both the current state and future of this area of law. An audience-driven, intra-panel debate will follow formal presentations by the speakers, who include:

- L. Ray Patterson, Professor, University of Georgia Law School
- Joseph Beck, Partner, Kilpatrick Stockton, Atlanta

Following a break for lunch, an afternoon session will feature four in-depth presentations by some of the country's leading patent experts, who will cover a broad range of the latest issues in patent law. These experts include
