Hosted by the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy, this groundbreaking Symposium will analyze two seemingly conflicting value systems in recent employment discrimination cases: one that prohibits stereotyping in the workplace, and another that upholds workplace appearance standards. More than 20 nationally renowned scholars, practitioners, and corporate professionals have agreed to participate in the Symposium, which will be one of the largest symposia held at Duke Law in the past several years.

We cordially invite interested labor and employment attorneys to register and attend the Symposium, and their firms to become Official Sponsors.

CLE Credit Opportunity

Six hours of CLE credit will be available to attorneys who attend the Symposium. The Symposium is accredited by the State Bars of North Carolina and South Carolina, and Certificates of Attendance will be provided to out-of-state attorneys for submission to other state bars.

Registration

To help defray our costs, we ask that attorneys register to attend the Symposium. Attorneys may register by mail before Friday, October 6 for a reduced fee of $200. Attorneys may also register at the Symposium for the standard fee of $300. A registration card and a check made payable to the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy should be sent to the address above. In addition to CLE credit, registered attorneys will receive a complimentary continental breakfast and lunch.

Official Sponsorship

We also welcome Official Sponsors. As an Official Sponsor, your firm’s logo will be prominently displayed at the event, on promotional materials, and in the corresponding print issue of the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy. The size of your displayed logo will be commensurate to the level of your contribution: $500 for a standard-size logo (Silver Sponsors), $750 for a large logo (Gold Sponsors), and $1,000 for an extra-large logo (Platinum Sponsors).
