Deborah K. Ross
Senior Lecturing Fellow
Deborah Ross lives in Raleigh, NC, where she practices law with Blanchard, Miller, Lewis & Styers. She also teaches as a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke Law School and consults with the Kenan Ethics Institute. In 2002, she was first elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives. Deborah is in her fourth term in the House where she chairs the Judiciary I Committee and co-chairs the Ethics Committee.
Deborah practiced corporate and municipal bond law for four years at Hunton & Williams. She also managed a successful nonprofit organization, the ACLU of North Carolina, for over seven years. Deborah graduated from Brown University in 1985 and the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1990.
Community involvement is very important to Deborah. She has served on several nonprofit boards and government commissions. And, she has received numerous awards for her community service.
Deborah has been married to Steve Wrinn since 1994. She and Steve are renovating an old house in Boylan Heights. They adopted Ralph, their dog, from the Wake County SPCA.
