Christopher B. McLaughlin

Assistant Dean for Student Affairs

McLaughlin Christopher B. McLaughlin is the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. He earned his J.D. with high honors and Order of the Coif from Duke Law School in 1996. After graduation, Chris practiced employment law for Hale & Dorr (now Wilmer Hale) in Boston and general litigation at Verrill Dana in Portland, Maine. He earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

Chris returned to the Law School in 2001 as editor and associate producer for The Contracts Experience, a multimedia DVD which replaces the traditional textbook used in first-year contract law courses. He currently serves as the faculty advisor for Duke Law's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance project, the largest pro bono effort at the law school, and teaches Ethics and the Rules of Professional Conduct.
