Kimberly Kisabeth
Fellow - Center for Criminal Justice and Professional Responsibility
Ms. Kisabeth is a fellow of the Center for Criminal Justice and Professional Responsibility. Prior to starting her fellowship, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in Fort Myers.
Ms. Kisabeth received her J.D. from Duke Law School, where she served first as staff editor and then as special projects editor of the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy. She was involved with the Innocence Project, Women Law Students Association, and Public Interest Law Foundation. She worked as a research assistant for Professor Erwin Chemerinsky, assisting Professor Chemerinsky in the preparation of briefs and oral argument for Scheidler v. National Organization for Women, decided during the 2005–06 term of the United States Supreme Court. After her second year of law school, Ms. Kisabeth worked as a summer associate at the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird.
In 2003, Ms. Kisabeth earned a B.A. in English literature with secondary concentrations in French and Italian language studies from the Colorado College. While there, she was Student Body President, Sophomore Class President, and a member of the varsity women’s tennis team. In 2002, she studied British literature and feminist literary theory at Oxford University.
