The Racial Justice Act: What It Is and Why We Need Your Help

October 22, 2009 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4040

Prominent lawyer Jay Ferguson is joining us to discuss the Racial Justice Act. In conjunction with this Act, lawyers and law students across the state are mounting massive data-collection efforts to research the history of discrimination in the judicial system. Duke is assembling a team to collect data in Wake County and we are looking for volunteers. This talk will be worthwhile for those interested in participating and those who want to learn more about this significant legislation.
