Mr. Jefferson's Wall 210 Years Later: Some Lessons From a Metaphor

February 08, 2012 • 12:15 PM • Law School 3043

Judge Edward Carnes of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals will join the Federalist Society to discuss the metaphor Thomas Jefferson used in his 1801 letter to the Danbury Baptists and how it shaped Establishment Clause jurisprudence. That is, the "wall of separation between Church & State." Please join us for what promises to be an extremely interesting and informative lecture by a Federal Circuit Judge. The PIG BBQ will be provided. Cosponsored by the Christian Legal Society. For more information please contact Phil Aubart at pla4@duke.edu.
