Confirming Kagan and Sotomayor: An insider's perspective

Professor Michael Gerhardt recently served as Special Counsel to Senator Patrick Leahy on the Judiciary Committee, where he helped to oversee the confirmation hearings of Justice Elena Kagan and Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Professor Gerhardt will provide an inside view of the confirmation process for our two most recent Supreme Court Justices. Professor Gerhardt is also the Samuel Ashe Distinguished Professor at Law for the University of North Carolina. Lunch will be provided. This event is sponsored by the American Constitution Society.
