2Ls in the Triangle: Inside the Mind of a Hiring Decision-Maker

July 09, 2013 • 5:30 PM • Law School 4047

Join us at the Law School after work to get a special look inside the fall recruiting process from Daniel Vatanaviggun, Campus Relations Attorney at Shearman & Sterling LLP. Dan will share his insights about how to best "preference" employers during the OCI bidding process; what sets candidates apart in interviewers' minds; and the most effective means to convey your particular "value add" as part of a law firm's summer program. Having served as Shearman's Campus Relations Attorney for the past ten years, Dan acts as a strategic adjunct to the firm's Recruiting department and is tasked with outreach in collaboration with law student organizations and career services offices. Before assuming his current role, Dan worked in the recruiting divisions of both Fenwick & West LLP and O'Melveny & Myers LLP. Sponsored by the Career & Professional Development Center.
