2L Summer Success Series Part IV- Acing Client Service:How to Demonstrate a True Client-Service Orientation This Summer

April 11, 2014 • 12:15 PM • Law School 4055

Throughout the summer, your employer will asking - as part of its assessment of your candidacy - whether you possess and consistently display a "client-service orientation." What this means, however, is not always obvious. Consider, for example, that your first "clients" as 2L summers will be more senior attorneys and colleagues. Learn employers' expectations and concrete ways to demonstrate this critical attribute from Rick Robinson (L'82), Global Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare at Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the world's largest law firms, and Sachin Bansal (L'08), an Associate at McKool Smith-New York, widely recognized for his keen understanding of client service in action. Lunch will be served. Sponsored by the Career & Professional Development Center. For more information, please contact Alan Dickinson at dickinson@law.duke.edu.
