Natural Resources Law and Policy
Examines how society manages the use of natural resources. The aim of the seminar is to understand better how natural resources law and policy address the conflicting expectations within society over appropriate resource use. Special attention is given to the historical, normative, economic, scientific, and political factors that influence resource policy. Topics include endangered species, whaling, forestry, fisheries, and national parks and wildlife refuges.
** Environmental Law and an interest in practicing in this field are strongly recommended for students who enroll in this course.
