Remedies
A survey of the law of judicial remedies in civil litigation, with illustrative applications in various areas of private and public substantive law. The course covers the main types of remedies--compensatory and punitive damages, equitable relief including injunctions and specific performance, declaratory judgments, and restitution--considering both their basic characteristics and their interrelations. Illustrative applications are drawn primarily from the substantive fields of tort (injury to persons and to personal and real property), contract, and civil rights.
