Moving Image Contest Judges
We’ve assembled a panel of independent and qualified judges to pick the contest finalists and winners. Information about each of them is
below.
Glenn Otis Brown is Executive Director of Creative Commons and a lecturer at Stanford
Law School. He was the designer (with Neeru Paharia) of the Creative Commons Moving Image Contest on which the structure, rules and prizes of this
contest were entirely based- thank you, Glenn!
Paul Jones is the Director of ibiblio.org, a project that includes the site formerly known as
MetaLab and SunSITE, The Public’s Library- a large contributor-run digital library. Paul teaches on the faculties of the School of Journalism and
Mass Communication and the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is an actively
publishing poet.
Laurie Racine is President of Doc. Arts, Inc., which produces the Full Frame (formerly DoubleTake) Documentary Film Festival, the
largest exclusively documentary film festival in the country. Racine is a Senior Fellow at the Norman Lear Center, President of two non-profit
corporations and co-director of the Lear Center's Creativity, Commerce & Culture project.
