Computer Services CD-ROM

The CD-ROM we've given you contains installation programs for the below applications and utilities and may be used with Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000. Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 are the only computer operating systems Computing Services supports on student computers. The software is divided into two groups: recommended programs, which you should install immediately, and optional programs, which you may choose whether and when to install.

Using the CD-ROM

  1. Start your computer.
  2. With Windows running, insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
  3. In a moment the main menu should appear. If the menu does not appear, select Start | Run and enter the command "d:autorun." Then select OK.
  4. The menu will display. The Main Menu includes links to a program installation menu among other menus. That menu in turn includes links to run the installation program for each of the above programs.
  5. We recommend you accept the default settings for each program you choose to install.
