Double-Sided Printing

All Student Network printers are enabled for duplex, or double-sided printing.

Your laptop needs to be configured to allow duplex printing. Complete the following steps to set up duplex printing on your laptop.

Setting up Duplex Printing on your Laptop Computer

For Windows

  1. Go to Start | Printers and Faxes or Start | Control Panel | Printers
  2. Right-click on “ControlStationPrinters" or other desired printer
  3. Choose Properties, then

    If you have a Device Settings tab:

    1. Scroll down to Installable Options
    2. Next to Duplex Unit click where it says Not Installed
    3. Select Installed from the drop-down menu
    4. Choose Apply | OK

    If you have a Configure tab:

    1. Check the “duplexing unit” box
    2. Choose OK

Duplex Printing from Internet Explorer

  1. Go to File | Print
  2. Select the printer and choose Preferences
  3. Under Print on Both Sides, select Flip on Long Edge
  4. Select OK | Print

Duplex Printing from Word

Go to File | Print.
You can have different options at this point. Here are some possibilities:

Scenario 1

  1. Select the printer and choose Preferences
  2. Under Print on Both Sides, select Flip on Long Edge
  3. Select OK | Print
Scenario 2
  1. Go to the Finishing Tab
  2. Check Print on Both Sides
  3. Select OK | OK
Scenario 3
  1. Under Document Options select Print on Both Sides
  2. Select OK OK

Duplex Printing from WordPerfect

Go to File | Print.
You can have different options at this point. Here are some possibilities:

Scenario 1

  1. Go to the Two-sided Printing tab
  2. Under Automatic select Flip on long edge
  3. Select Print

Scenario 2

  1. Select the printer and choose Preferences
  2. Under Print on Both Sides, select Flip on Long Edge
  3. Select OK | Print
