Orientation for New Students
Fall 2009 Student Computing Orientation
Welcome to the Duke University School of Law. Academic Technologies has prepared these online computing orientation pages to help familiarize you with the computing and network environments at the law school. These pages will take you through a series of steps to optimize your computer for use at the law school, and help you to familiarize yourself with the services we offer.
We recommend that you complete the online orientation before your arrival at the law school. However, should you need assistance, an optional classroom orientation session is scheduled and staff will be available at the help desk, located on the main floor of the law library, throughout the week.
Some of the suggested steps require you to use your LawID. You may look up your LawID and temporary password here (note that you will need to have your Duke netid and password to use this facility):

We will also have your LawID and temporary password available at the optional computing orientation session.
