Computing Orientation for Incoming Students

New Law Student Computing Orientation

Welcome to the Duke University School of Law. This year, for the first time, we are offering online orientation and setup instructions to help prepare you to use your notebook computer in the law school environment. This page and the below links will take you through a series of steps to optimize your computer for use at the law school, and help you to familiarize yourself with the services we offer. Please complete the orientation before Student LEAD week begins on Monday, August 13. If you find you have difficulties as you are moving through the orientation process, I encourage you to contact us in computing services by phoning 919-613-7072 or sending email to computing@law.duke.edu.

If you find you are unable to complete the orientation process, we have scheduled live sessions at the law school during LEAD week. If necessary, you may attend one of these sessions, as follows:

L.L.M. students may sign up for a session with International Affairs on Monday of LEAD week. J.D. students should send an email to computing@law.duke.edu to reserve a space. We strongly encourage you to try and complete the online orientation.
