Post-Graduate Fellowships: Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, 2/13/2007
Michael Foreman, Deputy Director of Legal Programs, and Rob Harrington '87, Co-Chair of the Lawyers' Committee Board of Directors, will speak about the post-graduate fellowship application process. Lawyers' Committee sponsors one fellow every year with their Lindsay Fellowship, and hosts fellows from Equal Justice Works and Skadden. They will also discuss the work of the Lawyers' Committee, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization formed in 1963 at the request of President John F. Kennedy to involve the private bar in providing legal services to address discrimination.

Mock Negotiation 11/13/2006
Are you wondering what corporate lawyers actually do? Today you get to look in as two lawyers negotiate with each other the terms of a financing transaction. The deal is a venture capital firm investing in an early stage company. The program will start with a review of terms and concepts likely to arise during the deal as well as a brief background on venture capital transactions generally.
