Job Fairs
The Law School facilitates student participation in many different job fairs throughout the year to give students opportunities to engage with a variety of employers. More information is available in the Career Center.
- 7/27/11 - 7th Annual Southeastern Intellectual Property Job Fair. Student registration will be held May 27-June 3, 2011. The fair will be held for rising 2L and 3L students by Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 7/28/11 & 7/29/11 - Loyola Patent Law Interview Program. This is a two-day interview program held in Chicago each summer that brings together patent law employers and law students from across the country to interview for summer associate positions and post-graduate employment. Job Fair will be held on July 28 and 29, 2011 at the Embassy Suites Chicago - Downtown/Lakefront, 511 N. Columbus Drive.
- 7/29/11 & 7/30/11 - The Southeastern Minority Job Fair (SEMJF). Pre-registration will be open April 7 at 12:00 noon through April 28th at https://law-duke-csm.symplicity.com/students. Thereafter, students will be required to upload requested application materials via the SEMJF website from May 12, 2011 to 11:58 PM Friday, May 27, 2011. The fair will be held on Friday, July 29 & Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest in Marietta, Georgia. - 7/30/11 - The Bay Area Diversity Career Fair. This event will take place Saturday July 30, 2011 at the Hilton San Francisco. The Bay Area Diversity Career Fair attracts hiring representatives from the Bay Area's most prominent law firms and government legal departments. Only law students who will have completed their first year of law school by the time of interviews are eligible to participate. - 8/4/11 & 8/5/11 (assumed) - ABA Career Fair and Annual Meeting. The Career Fair and Meeting will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel. Students MUST register by July 11, 2011 to attend the annual meeting in order to participate in the Career Fair. Interested students may register via http://www.abanet.org/lsd/career/. Fees are $50 for law school student members and $75 for non-members. Registration fees include student admittance into all CLE and programming (See Law Student Division Annual Meeting Preliminary Program Brochure for complete listing of programs). - 8/5/11 & 8/6/11 - the Heartland Diversity Legal Job Fair. Registration for the fair will open January 7, 2011 and deadline for the early bird registration window is May 20, 2011. To register for the event, please go to the Heartland Symplicity website https://law-kcmba-csm.symplicity.com/students and input your information. After submitting your request, an ID and password will be assigned to you so that you may access our web database and upload registration information needed for employers (i.e., cover letter, resume, transcript and writing sample). - 8/6/11 - Dupont Minority Job Fair. The 18th Annual DuPont sponsored Minority Job Fairs in Wilmington, Houston and Los Angeles are scheduled for Saturday, August 6, 2011. Student registration will be due in April, 2011. See www.ballardspahr.com for more information.
- 8/13/11 - Cook County Bar Association Minority Job Fair. This year's Job Fair will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Embassy Suites Chicago - Downtown/Lakefront, located at 511 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60611. The CCBA Job Fair primarily is designed to obtain summer associate positions for rising 2Ls (current 1Ls) during their second summer in law school. A full registration brochure can be found here. - 8/12/11 - IMPACT Career Fair for Law Students & Attorneys with Disabilities. The 7th Annual IMPACT Career Fair for Law Students & Attorneys with Disabilities will be held at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel (Arlington, VA) on August 12, 2011, sponsored by the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law and the Georgetown University Law Center. www.law.arizona.edu/impact/
- 8/18/11 & 8/25/11 - The Boston Lawyers Group Boston and Washington Job Fairs for Law Students of Color. The Boston Job fair will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the InterContinental Hotel, 510 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, MA. The Washington, D.C. Job Fair will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. In addition to the job fairs, the BLG will host networking receptions for selected students. Registration for the fair is open April 1, - July 11, 2011. - 8/19/11 & 8/20/11 - The Tri-State Diversity Recruiting Program. The event will take place Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20th at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Covington, KY. The Tri-State Diversity Recruiting Program offers second and third year law school students the opportunity to interview for summer associate and entry-level positions with prominent regional and national employers. - 8/20/11 - The St. Louis Diversity Job Fair. The St. Louis Diversity Job Fair will be held on August 20, 2011. The Job Fair will be held at Husch, Blackwell, Sanders LLP, 190 Carondelet Plaza, Saint Louis, MO 63105. Registration and bidding can be completed at https://law-sldjf-csm.symplicity.com/. - 8/20/11 - The Delaware Minority Job Fair for 2Ls and 3Ls. This year's Job Fair will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011, in Wilmington, Delaware. The Job Fair is open to all second and third-year law students seeking positions in Delaware for the summer of 2012 and fall of 2013. Interested students must complete and return an application form, along with their resumes and college and law school transcripts to the Job Fair Administrator by Wednesday, April 28, 2011. - 8/20/11 - Louisiana State Bar Association Minority Job Fair on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. - 8/27/11 - Northwest Minority Job Fair. Applications for this fair will be due April 30, 2011. This event will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2011 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, in K&L Gates' Seattle offices, located at 925 4th Avenue, Suite 2900. Job Fair participants are also encouraged to attend the Fair luncheon held at 12:00 pm, featuring a local guest speaker. Please see website for more information www.NWMJF.org.

- 9/9/11 - Hispanic National Bar Association Career Fair will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel in conjunction with the 36th Annual Convention. Students must register for the fair at https://law-hnb-csm.symplicity.com/students/ by July 30, 2011.
- 10/21-10/22/11 - Tennessee BAr Association Diversity Job Fair will be held on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Tennessee Bar Center in Nasheville, TN. Students may register for the fair at http://www.tba.org/diversity/jobfair2011.html by August 5, 2011.

- 3/12/11 & 3/19/11 - North Carolina Eastern & Western Job Fairs. Hosted by all NC Law Schools. Takes place in Cary or Charlotte, NC in March. Employers with 1-35 attorneys conduct interviews of students interested in the NC region.
