As Director of Alumni Relations, Susan McLean oversees both the daily operations and the strategic vision of Duke Law School's alumni relations program. She and her staff are charged with keeping alumni engaged in the dynamic community of Duke Law through a diverse offering of social, educational and networking opportunities. A member of the Alumni and Development team since September 2004, Susan may be found hosting events around the country, planning for Reunion or helping connect lost classmates. She welcomes your calls and emails and encourages you to stay connected to Duke. Before joining the Law School staff, Susan taught in the North Carolina public schools, worked as the director of blood services for the Durham Chapter of the American Red Cross and served as the logistics and events planning manager for the Visiting International Faculty Program, the United States' largest cultural-exchange program for teachers and schools. Susan and her husband of 24 years, Troy, have a fourteen-year-old daughter who requires most of their time and energy. When not at the Law School, Susan enjoys music, travel and spending time with friends and family. |

As Special Events Coordinator, Linda orchestrates the planning and execution of internal academic and development-related Law School events. She coordinates the efforts of Law School staff, faculty and students as related to event planning and management; serves as the point of contact for other University departments and other outside organizations utilizing the Law School facilities; facilitates communication within the Law School and University communities concerning events and programs; and manages all logistical requirements for internal events. Linda has been a member of the Alumni Relations and Special Events team since October 2006. Linda is a Cum Laude graduate of Skidmore College and has a background in theater production. Before coming to Duke and turning her focus towards event planning, she worked as a stage and production manager in various regional theaters up and down the East Coast. Originally from the Boston area, Linda is now happy to call North Carolina home. |
