As Development and Research Coordinator, Terry works behind the scenes managing and maintaining an extensive database of alumni, donors and friends. She provides reports, data, analysis and briefings to the Dean and Associate Dean. She coordinates portions of the prospect management system and acts as a liaison between the Law School and the University Development Systems group. Using a variety of news outlets as well as correspondence from alumni and friends, Terry serves as Class Notes editor of the website and Duke Law Magazine. Additionally, the review of media outlets gives Terry a unique opportunity to connect recent news events that are relevant to Duke Law School's fund-raising needs and interests. Terry has been with the Law School since 1999, working with the Private Adjudication Center prior to coming to the Alumni and Development Office in February 2005. |

Sondra has been at Duke since 2004, and she worked at Duke for seven years before that. When she returned in 2004, she worked in Arts & Sciences Development, eventually becoming office manager. Sondra has a B.A. in music from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC. She currently lives in Hillsborough with her husband, two boys, and dog Daisy. Her oldest son keeps her active in support of the band program. Sondra is also active in her church with teaching and singing in the choir. In her spare time, she likes to catch up on her sleep and enjoys video games ("thanks to the rugrats"), crafts, sewing, cooking, traveling when the opportunity arises, and of course, she really enjoys being a mom. |

Prior to her position at Duke, Mary worked for the Visiting International Faculty Program in a variety of roles, including program development and operations. She also worked in the corporate sales division of Office Depot, where she managed large corporate accounts for the eastern part of North Carolina. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, David, and their amusing dog, Sophie. In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, seek out new music, read, cook, and swim as often as possible. |

As Coordinator of Stewardship and Communications, Janet serves as the primary writer for the department and directs stewardship projects including gift acknowledgment, donor relations and recognition. She also works closely with scholarship students and professors holding endowed chairs, and she prepares other specialized writing and communications projects. Prior to coming to Duke, Janet worked for the North Carolina Department of Justice. She recently earned an MFA in creative writing from North Carolina State University, and she holds a BA in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, daughter and their menagerie of dogs, pet rats and flock of chickens. In her spare time she writes fiction and poetry. |
