Duke in D.C. Grand Opening and Supreme Court Clerk Celebration - June 12, 2012, 6:30 PM
A reception for members of the Barrister Donor Society and Heritage Society celebrating the grand opening of the Duke in D.C. office and Duke Law's recent Supreme Court clerks. The evening will include remarks from Dean Levi and U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito. At 1201 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 1110, Washington, DC 20005. Space is limited. Duke Law Club of Washington D.C. Reception for Prospective Students - Feb. 21, 2012
Duke Law alums joined Dean David F. Levi at a reception, hosted by Arnold & Porter LLP, to welcome prospective students recently admitted to Duke Law School. This gathering provided an opportunity for our prospective students to learn from our alums about their own Duke Law experiences.

Duke Law Reception at the Association of American Law Schools' (AALS) Annual Meeting - Jan. 5, 2012
Duke Alumni Office hosted a large and lively gathering at New Heights Restaurant, adjacent to the AALS meeting hotel.

Duke Law's Annual Fall Social Event - Nov. 10, 2011
Duke Law alums shared refreshments and fellowship and welcomed new alumni to the area at Gordon Biersch.

Reception in D.C. with Ambassador Manuel Sager, L'85 - Nov. 1, 2011
His Excellency Manuel Sager LLM '85, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United States, and his wife, Mrs. Christine Sager, hosted Duke Alumni at a private reception at the Swiss Residence. Ambassador Sager provided a brief overview of Swiss-U.S. Relations, and guests enjoyed hearty appetizers, Swiss wine and Duke fellowship.

Duke Law School Reception Honoring Public Service & Public Interest Work - Oct. 21, 2011
Nearly 70 Duke Law School alums working in public service and public interest positions, along with Duke Law student externship supervisors, shared their work experience with Duke Law students. Students were in town for the Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair or participating in the Duke in D.C. Externship Program. D.C. Duke Law Admitted Students-Alumni Reception - Wednesday, March 2, 2011
Alumni joined Dean David F. Levi at a reception to welcome prospective students who have been admitted to Duke Law School. This social gathering was an opportunity for alumni to visit with current and future students, fellow alumni, and key members of the Duke Law community.

D.C. Law School Gathering - November 18, 2010
More than 75 students and alumni gathered on Thursday, November 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gordon Biersch Brewery (900 F Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20004). This reception was a a great opportunity for alumni to catch up with friends and meet other members of the D.C. Duke Law community, and served as a welcome to recent graduates in the area. Light appetizers and limited drink tickets were provided. Professors Jim Cox and Don Horowitz and Associate Dean Judy Horowitz were in attendance. View pictures from this event.

Duke Law School Reception Honoring Public Service and Public Interest Work - Oct. 22, 2010
DC area alumni were invited to a reception in Washington, D.C. honoring Duke Law School alumni working in government public service and public interest positions as well as Duke Law Student Externship Supervisors.

The Duke Law Club of Washington, DC attended the 48th Annual Roll Call Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park - June 17, 2009
Duke Law club members, summer associates and friends watched Democratic and Republican Members of Congress compete for the coveted Roll Call trophy. Proceeds from the game benefited the Washington Literacy Council and the Boys Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.

DC Area Admitted Students - Alumni Reception hosted by Jones Day in conjunction with the Duke Law Club of Washington, DC - Feb. 24, 2009
Dean David F. Levi and fellow alumni welcomed potential students who have been accepted to attend Duke Law School. This social gathering was an opportunity for alumni to meet with future students, fellow alumni, and key members of the Duke Law community.

Class of 2008 Welcome Reception - Nov. 12, 2008
More than 44 alumni attended a reception to welcome the class of 2008 to the DC Duke law community. The event was held at Co Co. Sala, DC's premiere chocolate restaurant and lounge, owned by Duke alum, Bharet Maholtra, a graduate of the school of engineering, class of 1997. View pictures from this event.

Wine Tasting and Update on Duke Law - Feb. 26, 2008
Over 50 grads joined us as Prof. Metzloff gave an update on the building construction (view the live construction webcam) and Prof. Schmalbeck shared a series of German (and near-German) wines.
