The Duke Law Club of New York Presents "A Spring Party" - June 18, 2009:
Fellow Duke Law alumni, summer associates, new matriculates and friends celebrated another successful year of the Duke Law Club of New York at their end-of-the year Spring part - June 15, 2009

The Duke Law Club of New York Presents "Alternatives to Law Firm Practice" at McDermott Will & Emery - Apr. 15, 2009:
Five panelists including a professor, an AUSA, an in-house attorney, a legal search consultant and a legal recruiter at a law firm discussed their career choices and alternatives to law firm practice. Over 50 alums attended in person and many more via webinar.

The Duke Law Club of New York participated in NYCares "Hands on New York Day" - Apr. 25, 2009:
As a part of National Volunteer Week (April 19 - 25), the Duke Law Club of New York and Duke Club of New York joined thousands of others for the 15th Annual "Hands on New York Day." On Saturday, April 25, volunteers cleaned and revitalized 100 parks, gardens, playgrounds, community centers and schools citywide and plant 20,000 trees in partnership with MillionTreesNYC.

The Duke Law Club of New York hosted...A Private Cheese Tasting Seminar at Murray's - Mar. 11, 2009:
A sold-out private cheese tasting seminar was held at Murray's cheese shop. Lead by Murray's Cheese Expert, Taylor Cocalis, guests sampled delectable cheeses from around the world with an assortment of wines and learned how to find the right match.

New York Area Admitted Students - Alumni Reception hosted by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in conjunction with the Duke Law Club of New York - Feb. 25, 2009:
Dean David F. Levi and fellow alumni welcomed potential students who have been accepted to attend Duke Law School. This social gathering was an opportunity for alumni to meet with future students, fellow alumni, and key members of the Duke Law community.

Duke Law Club of NY presented "The Constitution, Gay Rights, and California's Proposition 8: The Legacy of Romer v. Evans" - Feb. 3, 2009:
Featuring Thomas B. Metzloff, Professor of Law and Director of Duke Law School's Voices of American Law documentary film project. Professor Metzloff presented and discussed the above film, which analyzes the anti-gay rights amendment passed in Colorado (so-called Amendment 2) and its impact for California's Proposition 8 and similar state initiatives.

The Duke Law Club of NY presents "The Financial Crisis: What Happened and What's Next?" featuring Professor James D. Cox.

The Duke Law Club of NY - Welcome Reception - Nov. 19, 2008:
The Duke Law Club of New York hosted their annual fall party and welcome reception for the class of 2008 with over 60 in attendance, at Aretsky's Patroon, a classic New York restaurant, owned by famous restauranteur, Ken Aretsky. Check back for photos from this event.

Guided Tour of the Neue Galerie - June 19, 2008
DLCNY had their own, dedicated docent, who lead our attendees through the first museum retrospective of the work of Gustav Klimt ever held in the United States.

An informal wine tasting led by an expert from Astor Wines and Spirits with featured Law School guest Professor Katharine T. Bartlett.

Duke Men's Lacrosse vs. Dartmouth - March 29, 2008
Law alums and their families watched the men's lacrosse team beat Dartmouth, 16-9.
