2013 Results

The Law Firm Challenge launched in February 2013 with the goal of strengthening the connection between the Law School and our alumni. The Challenge, consisting of 111 firms with five or more alumni, established a friendly peer competition to enhance their collective philanthropic support to the Law School.

The success of the Law Firm Challenge resulted in 208 additional donors and a participation increase from 32% to 48% for the alumni group.  It also succeeded in helping strengthen the school’s relationship with many great law firms.

“Through the Law Firm Challenge, we raised the bar by helping to market those firms with whom we have a strong alumni relationship, at the same time increasing donor support. The increased support will be put to good use funding such areas as new academic programs, financial aid and the clinics. We look forward growing this program in the years ahead,” said Jeff Coates, Associate Dean for Alumni and Development.

We are grateful to all of the participating firms and congratulate our top-performing firms listed below, particularly our "Fast Break" firms, Dow Lohnes and Williams & Connolly, which were the first to reach 100% participation.
