The Duke Law Firm Challenge
D.C.-area alumni take March Madness to a new level in support of the Law School
Duke basketball fans tend to get excited about rivalries, so lawyers in the nations capital will have to forgive Law School alumni for their competitive spirit this month as they participate in the inaugural year of the Law Firm Challenge.
The Duke Law Firm Challenge puts the loyalties of Washington, D.C. alumni to the fund-raising test as 10 firms compete to reach the 100 percent participation level among Law School graduates at their respective firms. Working their way through this year's brackets are Dow Lohnes, McDermott Will & Emery, Morgan Lewis, Sidley Austin, Fulbright, Hogan & Hartson, Jones Day, Sutherland Asbill, Williams & Connolly, and WilmerHale.
Alumni are free to slap the floor, taunt their opponents, and even call upon the powers of Speedo Guy if necessary; whatever it takes to raise their game and motivate their peers to participate. So sharpen those elbows, because March Madness just got crazier. But remember - in the end, Duke Law is the biggest winner as this challenge will benefit every aspect of the school.
