Blackboard Tutorial: Creating Announcements

Announcements are the primary means of communicating important items to students. These can include important lectures, dates, events, notices, and schedule changes.

  1. Announcements are created and edited through the Course Tools menu located in the Control Panel.
  2. Once inside the control panel, click on theAnnouncements link in the Course Tools box.
  3. To create a new announcement click Add Announcement.
  4. Enter the subject and message and click Submitto post the message
  5. The announcement has posted to the announcements page. Made a mistake? Click Modify or Removeto update or delete the announcement.
